Accurately predicting the flow induced by the collapse of embankment dams remainschallenging, as a consequence of the level of uncertainty affecting the prediction of breachwidth and formation time. Moreover, very few systematic analyses are available todayconcerning the sensitivity of the flow with respect to those uncertainties. The presenttheoretical analysis quantifies the influence of variations in the breach parameters on thepeak outflow.
